Frederik is co-founder of Mersil Consult and he has more than 10 years of experience as safety assessor of cosmetic products including the regulatory affairs side of the cosmetic industry.
Frederik is also a product formulator and proud winner of the Danish Beauty Awards 2023 for Danish Product of the Year.
As a pharmacist (MSc Pharmacy, Copenhagen University) specialized in pharmaceutical technology Frederik has great interest in GMP and natural ingredients and remedies.

Jenni joined the SCANCOS board in November 2022. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics (2010) and Pharmacy (2013) from the University of Helsinki and in Beauty and Cosmetics (2016) from Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
Jenni has been working at Berner Oy since 2016, currently in the role of product developer within oral care and personal hygiene products.

Ingela has a Master’s Degree in Food Science from the University of Helsinki (2014).
She has worked at Lumene since 2016, her current role is R&D Manager for makeup products.

Shannon obtained her masters degrees in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences from the University of Eastern Piedmont (Italy) and the University of Namur (Belgium) in 2023 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (2017).
Shannon currently works as a chemist in beauty product quality at H&M since 2023.

Carla Barthel is a science-driven professional with a strong background in cosmetic chemistry, formulation science, and technical sales. As Technical Sales Manager in Personal care at Safic-Alcan, she works closely with formulators, R&D teams, and industry partners, translating scientific innovation into practical cosmetic solutions across the Scandinavian market.
With more than 13 years experience in cosmetic product development in companies such as L’Oreal, LVMH and Hardford, and a degree in chemistry and in cosmetic application from ISIPCA, Carla brings a deep understanding of ingredients, technologies, and industry trends.

Cosmetic Product Development Chemist
Camilla is a Cosmetic Product Development Chemist specializing in hair care and aerosol formulations within the personal care industry. Her expertise includes formulation development, ingredient evaluation, stability testing, and product optimization to ensure both product quality and regulatory compliance.
Camilla is currently working in product development at Cosmia Nordic (Transmeri Logistics), where she contributes to the development of hair care and styling with specialized knowledge in aerosol-based cosmetic products.
